Pact seeks an experienced Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for the USAID-funded civil society and media program that will advance citizen security and crime prevention objectives, with the aim of improving Dominicans’ ability tolive free from all forms of crime and violence and to realize their full human rights. The activity will apply locally led, problem-driven, adaptive approaches. This a five-year activity and the position will be based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Pact seeks a Strategic Communications Manager to ensure use of cutting-edge analysis, research methods, and strategic communication for the USAID CSM-STAND Sri Lanka Bolstering Civil Society (BCS) Activity.   Supervised by the Chief of Party (COP) and working closely with other technical project staff, this position will develop the BCS communication strategy and leads its implementation. The position will contribute to the design, coordination, and implementation of social and behavioral change communication (SBCC) strategies. The position will also support the BCS Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Manager in measuring and evaluating SBCC interventions. The Strategic Communications Manager will lead the generation of ideas and data-driven solutions based on rigorous analyses, producing technical communications documents and studies. The position will have oversight of external communications of Pact’s approach, strategies, and key results in the country, including stakeholder engagement and coordination with local partners and grantees.

The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) reports to the Chief of Party of the project.   The DCOP is responsible for helping the COP to meet the project’s technical objectives, manage financial resources, manage program staff, manage partnering agreements, maintain good working relationships with host government officials and local partners, manage donor reporting and ensure a high-quality delivery of services.   This is a general job requisition for Deputy Chief of Party related positions offered at Pact. The Chief of Party reports to the Regional Director for the region based on the location of the project.   The COP will be responsible for overall technical leadership, management, and operations of the activity. They will ensure that the project’s goals, objectives, and strategy are achieved and that contractual requirements are met on time and within budget. The COP will take a leadership role in coordination of all activities across all relevant parties, including the donor and partners for the project.
