Pact seeks a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for an upcoming USAID-funded Citizen Participation Project in Guatemala. The project aims to foster an accountable government, active citizenship, and democratic culture by strengthening citizens, civil society, and media organizations’ capacities to participate effectively and impactfully in anti-corruption actions and enhancing political dialogue within and between them and different actors and sectors in Guatemala.
The project is anticipated to be a five-year, $25M - $50M cooperative agreement. The position is expected to be based in Guatemala City, with regular travel to project activity location. This position description is subject to change, based on the final qualifications stipulated by USAID in the notice of funding opportunity, and hiring is contingent upon award.
Under the Chief of Party’s leadership, the DCOP will be responsible for leading the project implementation and ensuring effective management and execution the day-to-day operations of the project. The DCOP will provide support the COP to coordinate with USAID, project partners and ensure compliance with all donor requirements, including those related to project reporting, timely submission of deliverables, and financial burn rates. The DCOP will supervise, manage, and coach technical staff and improve staff capacity for effective implemtation of the project. The DCOP will report to the COP.
