    Chief Financial Office (CFO) - Pact strives for a world where all people are heard, capable, and vibrant.     Position Overview

    Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, FP&A, the Finance Officer is responsible for providing overall financial and analytical support to Pact, its subsidiaries, and 24 country offices related to annual budgets and monthly financial reporting to ensure effective financial management across the company.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct due diligence on projects by researching and analyzing financial and programmatic areas of given project
    • Analyze financial information relating to specific subsidiaries, e.g. company results, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements to determine how the organization is positioned to deliver for beneficiaries
    • Conduct business modeling and assess ROI, NPV, and Cash Projections at company level
    • Initiate ideas to implement within the FP&A team to develop innovative finance strategies and better financial management 
    • Analyze project data to eliminate financial risk and provide guidance to country offices during projects start up, implementation, and close out
    • Provide support to country offices on reviewing budget realignments and ensuring accurate calculations, proper application of cost structure, and proper linking of multiple excel sheets
    • Perform variance analysis of budget vs. actuals; cash flow projections; business analytics; and cash management assessments
    • Provide support in the annual preparation of the fiscal year budgets for HQ operations, subsidiaries, and country offices
    • Develop and propose ideas for designing financial reports and their application in an ERP platform
    • Ensure data integrity in all reporting applications
    • Prepare and run monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to be distributed to country offices and HQ
    • Assist in preparation of presentations to the Board of Directors and the Finance and Audit Committee of the respective subsidiaries
    • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management via extracting and filtering accounting/customer data from internal systems
    • Review and prepare working capital request from field offices and make recommendations to the CFO on the disbursement of funds
    • Conduct trainings to country offices on FP&A processes and procedures
    • Develop presentations and arrange for training and onboarding of staff across the organization in using and implementing new financial management software
    • Collaborate with other departments at HQ to develop financial reports and provide recommendations on financial planning
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Basic Requirements

    • Must be legally eligible to work in the US
    • Strong financial and analytical skills with a minimum of 6 years related experience in finance or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training
    • Technology savvy with experience in financial software tools
    • Advanced knowledge of excel and financial modeling
    • Demonstrated knowledge of financial software and accounting systems for reporting purposes
    • Working knowledge of generally-accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
    • Fluent in the English language
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (with a strong understanding of systems and IT)
    • At least 2 years of valuation and financial modeling experience (DCF, NPV, ROI)
    • Ability to research, analyze, and evaluate data
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong numerical ability and quantitative skills

    • Ability to work effectively in a team

    • Interest in current international development affairs and their impact on the market

    Preferred Qualifications

    • MBA or Master’s degree in relevant field such as Finance, Economics, and/or Accounting
    • Fluency in another language: French or Spanish preferred
    • Extensive experience with ERM systems such as Adaptive Insights, NAV Dynamics, Salesforce
    • Willingness to travel internationally
