    Position Overview

    The Financial system (FS) manager is responsible for administering, supporting and guiding the system lifecycle for Pact’s Financial and Accounting systems.  The ideal candidate has a strong experience with business process flows, data management and financial system best practices. Broadly, this role is responsible for knowing how Pact’s financial systems interact, developing and executing a suitable support plan and keeping up to date on new system versions and features to ensure Pact’s Finance and Accounting teams have the most appropriate tools.
    Pact’s financial ecosystem includes the following off-the-shelf systems and tools. Support of these tools would be through coordination of consultants and vendors for complex issues, though the expectation is that over time, the FS manager could do some of the work themselves.  

    • Budget planning and analysis: Adaptive insights
    • General Ledger: Serenic NAV
    • Payroll: ADP
    • Reporting: Jet Reporting, PowerBI
    • Timesheets: Unanet 

    The role would also work with IT and consultants to manage and support these custom systems:

    • Contracts and grants management built in Salesforce
    • Audit Administration: moving to salesforce
    • Field Asset management: moving to salesforce
    • Ethics training and tracking

    Key Responsibilities

    System-wide (10%):

    • Work with IT and consultants to ensure systems are secure, properly backed up and administered (departed users IDs are deactivated, etc).
    • Work with Quality Office to develop appropriate system usage and other policies.
    • Ensure excellent data quality through maintenance, optimization and review.

    Serenic NAV (50%):

    • Manage and provide escalated NAV support via TechnoBrain and other consulting resources.
    • Create and update documentation for any fixes and enhancements.
    • Create user profiles and assign access rights to 75+ users
    • Maintain data (refresh training database, add a new company, add a new currency).
    • Monitor integrations between NAV and other systems.
    • Explore new modules and version to ensure Pact’s business needs are met appropriately.
    • Provide basic NAV training to new staff.

    Adaptive Insights (25%):

    • Create user profiles and assign access rights to 75+ users.
    • Monitor integrations between NAV and other systems.
    • Coordinate technical support through external consultant.

    Reporting (10%):

    • Install and configure Jet profile on existing and new users for Dynamics NAV 2009 and Dynamics NAV 2013.
    • Schedule, update and administer enterprise-wide reports including PSRs and Jet-based monthly financial reporting.

    Work with consultants to support custom modules (5%)

    • Administer enhance Audit Admin, Field Asset currently developed in Dynamics CRM.
    • Migrate the existing applications of Microsoft Dynamics CRM into Salesforce.

    Basic Requirements

    • Senior skills in NAV report development, integrations between NAV and other systems.
    • Experience using or maintaining the systems listed above  
    • Bachelor's degree in information systems, information technology, or equivalent.
    • 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV Administration and Support.
    • Strong hands-on background with NAV systems administration, technical support, server/network support and security.
    • Database administration and Knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2008 or later is a plus.
    • Recent experience using data integration techniques to bridge diverse information systems – such as moving and/or relating data between Microsoft Dynamics NAV and CRM.
    • Expertise working with relational databases.
    • Experience working in a team development environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
